As we close another remarkable year at Manaia Assist, December gives us the opportunity to pause, reflect, and celebrate the people and milestones that made this year truly meaningful. From outstanding staff achievements to industry recognition and service expansion, this month reminds us how far we have come together.

Topic 1: Celebrating Our 2025 Award Winners

We are proud to announce this year’s Manaia Assist Award recipients. All nominations were carefully reviewed by the management team, and the results reflect the dedication, compassion, and professionalism demonstrated across our organisation.

These individuals represent the heart of Manaia Assist.

🌟 Most Improved Employee – Silina Raileqe

Silina primarily works at our Campsie site. Over the past 12 months, she has shown remarkable growth in both reliability and the way she supports our participants. She consistently arrives with a positive attitude and a warm smile, even during challenging moments.

Silina has a naturally caring nature and ensures our ladies feel engaged, supported, and genuinely valued. Her commitment to improvement and her willingness to learn have not gone unnoticed. Her journey this year is a true example of personal growth and dedication.


🌟 Most Valuable Employee – Emele Rasiga

Emele works mainly at our Chester Hill site and has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication and dependability in her role.

She approaches every shift with professionalism, clear communication, and a strong sense of teamwork. Emele is reliable, hardworking, and maintains a calm, positive presence when supporting both participants and colleagues. Her consistency and high-quality work make her an invaluable member of the Manaia Assist family.


🌟 Most Outstanding Employee – Katerina Ria

Katerina works across multiple sites within Region 2 and is truly an all-rounder.

She gives 100 percent to everything she does. Her attention to detail, pride in her work, and hands-on approach set a high standard for excellence. Her cleaning during wakeovers is exceptional and consistently exceeds expectations. Her shift notes are thorough, timely, and accurate, and her paperwork is always completed correctly.

Above all, Katerina works with our participants’ best interests at heart, making her highly deserving of the Most Outstanding Employee Award.


🌟 Employee of the Year – Loata Qaranivalu

Loata primarily supports participants at our Marrickville site and continues to exemplify professionalism, compassion, and leadership.

She completes all tasks with care and remains approachable and supportive to both clients and colleagues, even outside her scheduled shifts. Loata consistently contributes thoughtful ideas and strategies that enhance participant support and daily activities.

Management has observed a noticeable improvement in participant outings when Loata is present. Participants appear happier, more engaged, and comfortable in her care. Her genuine dedication, initiative, and warmth make her an exceptional role model and a truly deserving Employee of the Year.

These expansions allow us to provide more holistic support while creating stronger outcomes for participants and families.
